Ceremony & Ritual

Shamans believe that the fastest way to transformation is through the experiential. Ceremony and ritual is a powerful tool for transformation as it moves us outside of ordinary time and into sacred time to connect us deeply with spirit. Done alone, it offers an opportunity for healing emotional and physical wounds, and can bring guidance and revelation. By bringing it forth in a group or community, it exponentially expands with the added benefit of friends or family sharing and witnessing these important times of change.

Regardless of your spiritual or religious beliefs, ceremony is most beneficial because it is a felt experience and brings us into the natural flow and rhythm of life. It nourishes and strengthens by engaging all of you - body, mind and heart.

Rites of Passage

As we walk through each life milestone, it is important that we pay tribute to important transitions or turning points. The first peoples knew the value of acknowledging times of change in our life, from young adulthood into our elder years. In ancient times, old women were known as crones. They held power and enjoyed status as the healers, medicine women, the mediators, the wise ones of the community. The community came before them for their wisdom, to help them solve problems, to answer questions, and to be filled with spirit and love by being in their presence. Gradually, that power and recognition were lost.

In modern times, and especially in our culture, the old woman has become nearly invisible, pushed aside and forgotten. Only a few groups honor old women in this country. Traditionally, the time of the Crone is after Menopause. I invite you to honor this time of life as a rite of passage. Gather your friends to respect this time of wisdom, of having lived a full life, of having many experiences that include light and shadow, and having not only survived but thrived. Through the crone ceremonies that I create and lead, we honor this rite of passage into a women’s wisdom, and her growth, transformation, passions and purpose of life.

I have also led ceremonies for the transitions of divorce or separation, home changes, empty-nesting and starting new, cord cutting of the legacy of addictions, and personal empowerment.

I perform end of life ceremonies for your loved ones with an attitude of service and comfort, honoring all beliefs and traditions.

Seasonal & Moon Ceremonies

Our ancestors’ lives were closely interwoven with the seasons and deeply connected to earth, sun, sky and moon. Each solstice and equinox give us an opportunity to honor the earth and all its inhabitants at the same time bringing consciousness to our own transformation and healing. As the earth changes each season, we can transform the energy behind our emotions and feelings, to create a more healthy and balanced way of living.

Ceremonies offered on the full and new moon provide a powerful time to invite changes into our life by letting go of the old thoughts, ideas or patterns, and creating new ideas, intentions and inspiration.

I love creating these special ceremonies in community and spending time in a sacred way connecting us to Spirit and heart.
