Shamanism is the oldest spiritual practice known to man. It is not a religion but a spiritual path that anyone can practice. It is a way to develop deep and meaningful relationships with the earth, all its inhabitants and the spirit world. Fundamental to shamanism is the principle of wholeness or unity; the realization that everything in the universe is connected, everything has substance, is alive and therefore carries spirit. We can create relationships with those spirits and directly access information and assistance. They are there for us, waiting for us to connect!
An aspect of the shamanic path is the Medicine wheel, an ancient tool that teaches and represents the web or wheel of life, and is a mapping system to help us understand our journey. It is an outward expression of our connectedness and relationship to everything.
